JARDIN DE LA MAISON BERNARDIN DE SAINT-PIERRE

This former rectory of the eighteenth century was the last haven of Jacques-Henri Bernardin de Saint-Pierre (1737-1814), writer and botanist friend of Jean-Jacques Rousseau. Restored in 2008, it houses a garden of perennials, flowering shrubs and roses, where are held once a month "Mercredis nature" open on the arts, natural phenomena, botany and ecology. A lift allows disabled access to the garden. Not far from home, a trip to the banks of the Oise is recommended.
