Val-d'Oise hides natural treasures where rare animals and remarkable plants find their housing environment. The preservation of these sensitive natural spaces conjugates in the reception of the public who can discover them through the different visits proposed by the County Council.

The inhabitants of Val d'Oise does not imagine the diversity of the botanical and animal species which are present on territories classified as a Sensitive Natural Space (Espace Naturel Sensible, or ENS in French) : for example, there are about twenty different orchids in the forest of the Tour du Lay or more than 200 species of butterflies in the wood of Morval. To appreciate completely their singularity or their rarity, it is useful to benefit from specialists' comments.

So the County Council proposes 133 animations from February till October in the natural spaces and the parks of Val-d'Oise, in partnership with several actors such as the PNR of French Vexin, Oise-Pays of France and associations or local companies. Sometimes the entomological or mycological science of the organisers ends in tales, music or culinary creativity.

On the occasion of the Nature's Fest, at the end of May, the visits become more special. 4 visits are proposed during the period of this national demonstration from 17 till 21 May, several on the specific theme of the edition of 2017: "Superpowers of Nature".
