ALLÉE COUVERTE ARGENTEUIL
This collective grave, discovered by chance in early 1867, forms a corridor covered with large slabs of sandstone. The excavations, undertaken by Leguay, uncover a large number of human remains and a large amount of material that current archaeologists attribute to the civilization of the Seine-Oise-Marne, in the end of the Neolithic age. Some of the furniture is preserved in the Museum of National Antiquities in Saint-Germain-en-Laye.
