Discover L’Isle-Adam, Balzac’s “earthy paradise”. This is a pleasant stopover in one of the most beautiful river meanders in France where museums, architectural heritage, river beach, events, will contribute to the success of your visit. Today, Mériel, where the actor Jean Gabin grew up, houses a museum entirely dedicated to him and invites you to meet the man behind the actor.

Morning: The Jean Gabin museum in Mériel opens its doors to share with you the little known childhood of this great actor.
Through the collection of private and personal objects, a film on his youth or a walk in the village where he grew up, you will discover a Jean Gabin whom you had never seen before.

Afternoon: Meet at the cinema “Le Palace”, where the famous TV programme “La Dernière Séance” presented by Edith Mitchell was shot. It is in this legendry room that a film starring Jean Gabin will be shown to you.
